Crypto Outflows Persist for 4th Week; Bitcoin Dips Below $70K
Digital asset investment products are experiencing significant outflows for the fourth consecutive week, totaling $173 million in net withdrawals. As Bitcoin’s value slipped below $70,000, investor sentiment remains bearish, impacting the broader crypto market.
Ongoing Outflows in Crypto Markets
The latest CoinShares report highlights a persistent trend in crypto exchange-traded products (ETPs) losing money, with cumulative redemptions reaching approximately $3.8 billion over four weeks. Assets under management (AUM) have dropped to $133 billion, marking the lowest level since April 2025.
Impact on Bitcoin and Other Digital Assets
Bitcoin-focused ETPs faced the largest outflows, losing $133.3 million for the week. The AUM for Bitcoin products has dwindled to about $106 billion. In the U.S., spot Bitcoin ETFs reported $360 million in outflows, exacerbating the negative trends. Ether products also faced $85 million in withdrawals globally, despite minor inflows in U.S. spot Ether ETFs.

Regional Differences in Investment Flows
The U.S. crypto investment products have seen $403 million in outflows, reflecting cautious behavior among both institutions and retail investors. Conversely, non-U.S. regions recorded $230 million in inflows, with Germany, Canada, and Switzerland leading the way.
Altcoins Attracting Capital Amidst Market Slump
Despite the bearish trend in major digital assets, certain altcoins are gaining traction. XRP ETPs attracted $33.4 million in new investments, while Solana ETPs saw $31 million, indicating a shift towards higher-risk, momentum-driven assets.
Investor Takeaway
As crypto markets navigate this period of outflows, the focus remains on managing risks in a volatile environment. The continued pressure on major digital assets and the cautious market sentiment suggest that traditional safe-haven investments might divert funds from crypto.
