Macau casinos repeat a MOP 100 million Grand Prix cheque
On October 16, 2026, six Macau gaming concessionaires repeated a MOP 100 million Grand Prix sponsorship, the same level Macau Business reported for the 2024 and 2025 editions. A cheque presentation that afternoon at the Macao Cultural Centre put the money on the table before the cars do.
Race week is November 19 to November 22 on the Guia Circuit, the Macao SAR Government Information Bureau said in a release timestamped 19:38 on October 16, 2026. Spectators and the concessionaires are who the figure touches. A customer at the table meets the same cage on November 19 as on October 15, because a motor-race cheque is not a change to hold, drop or stake rules.
Same split as the 2024 and 2025 editions
Macau Business, on October 16, 2026, said the package matches the 2024 and 2025 level. Dollar figures below are that paper's, not a live rate.
Names at the Macao Cultural Centre
Leong Wai Man, president of the Sports Bureau, hosted with Lei Si Leng, coordinator of the Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee, and Chong Coc Veng, coordinator of its sporting subcommittee. Jeny Lau attended as chief financial officer and executive director of MGM China Holdings Ltd. Philip Cheng attended as a director of Galaxy Entertainment Group. Sean Tan attended as chief financial officer of SJM Resorts, S.A. Clarence Chung attended as a board director of Melco. Philipp Knuepfer attended as executive vice president for non-gaming operations of Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace.
Dave Sun attended as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Sands China Ltd., and as managing director of Venetian Macau Ltd. In the sponsor sentence the same release writes "Sand China Ltd", without the s it uses in his title and that Macau Business uses. The release quotes none of them.
Seven races on the Guia programme
Organisers listed seven events. They are the Macau Grand Prix for the FIA FR World Cup, the Macau GT Cup for the FIA GT World Cup, the Macau Guia Race for the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour, Macau Formula 4 for the FIA F4 World Cup, the 58th Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, the Greater Bay Area GT Cup for GT4 cars, and the Macau Roadsport Challenge.
Pinnacle Motorsport returns with Enzo Deligny and Hiyu Yamakoshi after a 2025 one-two for Théophile Naël and Mari Boya.
An 18-car GT Cup names eight manufacturers, Ferrari and Mercedes among them, and the Guia Race lists 30 cars, which the release calls the largest grid since 2020. Peter Hickman headlines the motorcycle race. BMW Concessionaires (Macau) Limited supplies the safety car, and Macau Industrial Limited is the beverage sponsor.
Ticket prices, the cap of 10, and age 2
Tickets cost MOP 100 to MOP 1,200 by seat and day. The cap is 10 a person. From age 2, a ticket is required.
Sales run through 15 points placed in Macao as well as in Hong Kong and mainland China, plus named channels such as MacauTicket, Kong Seng, Ctrip and Trip.com, Damai, EGL Tours, Tongyue and CTG. The government page lists those names. This report does not send readers to the sellers.
A grandstand seat has a posted price and a cap of 10. It does not set the hold.
The cage the cheque does not touch
Sponsors handed the cheques over at the press conference. Macau Business treated the sum as a continuation of the 2024 and 2025 packages, not as a revision to gaming rules. That is the business side of the afternoon: disclosed non-gaming spend by the concessionaires, on a figure the government and the newspaper agree.
CoinGenius has already reported the third-quarter move in mass baccarat revenue. That report is about the tables. This one is about a race cheque.
Rank's Grosvenor machines are a British machine story, not a Macau cheque.
A motor-race cheque can be real money and still leave the customer where they stood on October 15. Nothing in the October 16 releases changes stake limits or self-exclusion. The cage pays on November 19 what it paid on October 15.
Before the grid forms, the Family Carnival takes Tap Seac Square on November 7 and November 8, with a small version of the Guia Circuit for children. The Auto Show and the opening ceremony are set for November 14 and November 15. The Cultural Affairs Bureau runs the Macao City Culture Festival from November 14 to November 22. Race cars are scheduled from November 19.
