The most recent was when Sky Mavis announced a partnership with GMonsters, a Japanese entertainment and gaming company, to launch additional titles from the Fight League franchise on Ronin. Mixi, the Japanese mobile game and app publisher that holds the Fight League IP, will offer comprehensive support to GMonsters, overseeing the game development process planning, production, and supervision.
After that, Gadget-Bot Productions, whose founders are associated with hits like Alita: Battle Angel, Call of Duty, and Apex Legends, introduced their new project, Kaidro, with an exclusive launch on Ronin.
With the continuous addition of newly-built web3 games and the migration of already-established ones into the Ronin ecosystem, does it prove that Ronin is now among the best choices for developers to deploy their blockchain games, aside from Polyogn, Solana, and Immutable?

The Ronin Blockchain: An Introduction
The Ronin Network is an Ethereum-based sidechain developed for blockchain gaming by Sky Mavis in 2021. The network claims to address key issues like Ethereum’s high gas fees and slow transaction speeds.
It is built specifically for blockchain games and is Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible. This means that it supports EVM-compatible smart contracts and protocols, enabling developers to create feature-rich, high-performance blockchain projects.
For web3 game developers, they can start building and testing on Saigon (https://saigon-app.roninchain.com/), a public Ronin test network. However, it should be noted that ‌Ronin’s main network, or mainnet, is a permissioned blockchain. This means that developers must first apply for Sky Mavis’ allowlist before deploying a project on the mainnet.
Moreover, Ronin was first built under a Proof-of-Authority (POA) consensus mechanism, but later on transitioned to Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) in 2023 to allow $RON staking and those who have at least 250,000 RON staked on the network to delegate or nominate validators for the system.
But challenges are always part of progression. In March 2022, Sky Mavis confirmed that the Ronin Bridge was hacked and around $625 million worth of $ETH and $USDC were stolen. The worst part was that the team only discovered the fraud a week after, as the hack happened on March 23.

However, as time passes by, it is now becoming a social gaming web3 platform that will soon offer other blockchain games and more game modes.
