It’s been almost a week, and the gaming community has been talking nonstop about the newest “Pokémon with guns” title, Palworld. Despite its recent controversies, the monster-collecting survival game has sold over 7 million copies in only five days from its launch, and developers Pocketsquare have just recently released the Palworld Roadmap. Gamers can now look forward to many new features like PVP, Crossplay, etc. While no solid release date has been provided, here is exactly what gamers can expect for the future of Palworld.

What’s In The Palworld Early Access Roadmap?
While Palworld will soon have new features in the works, the team at Pocketsquare took to X (Twitter), stating that sales of the title exceeded the development team’s expectations, which led them to have excessive access congestion, amongst other issues players have been experiencing since the launch of the title. The team at Pocketsquare plans to accomplish the following:
- Addressing Critical Issues.
- Fixing numerous bugs that have been identified.
- Improvements to Implement ASAP.
- Key configuration improvements.
- Improvements to base Pal AI and pathing.
While the roadmap shows off some new features, fixes will be prioritized before any new in-game features. Once completed, Palworld will soon have the following features:
- PvP
- Raid Bosses (End-Game Content)
- Pal Arena (PvP for Pals)
- Steam-Xbox Crossplay
- Various Xbox Feature Improvements
- Server Transfers and Migrations
- Improvements to the Building System
- New Islands, Pals, Bosses, and Technologies
What Is Palworld About?
While the concept and a few characteristics can look a bit similar, Palworld is nothing like Pokemon. Palworld is an open-world survival crafting game set where mysterious creatures called “Pals” live. The main objective is to catch the pals and make them work, fight, and breed, and if players would like to, they can even sell them. Bases can be built, and dungeons can be explored with different weapons.
Palworld will begin as an early-access title, but that doesn’t mean players will be very limited in gameplay. Upon launching, Palworld will remain in Early Access for at least one year. The game will receive different updates and improvements based on player community feedback during this time. The monster-catching, battles, exploration, building, and crafting will be enabled on release. Additionally, there will be over 100 monsters, over 350 items, over 70 types of buildings, and an open world to explore.
