The LoL Worlds 2022 Group Stage begins today, and many exciting games are ahead of us. What happens in the Worlds group stage?

Here’s an overview of the group stage’s mechanics:

• The best teams in every group will compete against each other to make it out of the groups and qualify for playoffs.
• 16 teams have been drawn into four different groups.
• Teams will compete in a double round-robin system to try to top each other, and each match will be best-of-one.
• Two teams from each group will move on to the playoffs, and the last two will bid farewell.

Which teams are group favorites?

In Group A, T1 and EDward Gaming are the strongest on paper. T1 came here by clinching the second LCK spot and EDward Gaming is LPL’s third seed representative. T1 and EDG will likely get out of the group as they look far better than both C9 and Fnatic.

JD Gaming is not only the Group B favorite but also the Worlds 2022 favorite. They have shown incredible performances throughout the LPL 2022 season and finally won the trophy to get the first seed. The battle for the second seed will probably be between G2 Esports and DWG KIA.

LPL’s second seed, Top Esports has one of the best players on its roster, the mid laner knight. DRX might cause some problems, but it is expected that they won’t give any casualties, probably having some of the lowest LoL Worlds betting odds of the group stage.

Lastly, Gen.G looked unbeatable as the roster includes some of the greatest players in the world right now. Peanut, Ruler, and Chovy are in their best shape right now, and their most serious rival will be Royal Never Give Up. 100 Thieves and CTBC Flying Oyster are not in their league for sure, and the first two seeds will be clinched by the Asian representatives without any doubt.

This year’s Worlds tournament will hold one of the toughest competitions in history.
