Many media outlets and fans are praising Hogwarts Legacy. The game captures the essence of being a wizard in the Harry Potter Universe without really needing anyone from the original books or movies to make that so. Even though the game has just come out, there will be players and fans wondering, will there be a Hogwarts Legacy DLC? Here is what is known so far and when it might come out.

Hogwarts Legacy is full of puzzles, exploration, a solid story and capturing battle mechanics. This all is what has made people so interested in the game and for those who have played, it is what has kept their attention. All of this leads to helping the player feel like they are truly part of that world.
Within it, there are some things that are noticeably absent and one that is even called out by one of the prominent side characters. Headmaster Black, yes the same family related to Sirius Black from the books, makes a statement on the player’s first night at Hogwarts.
He states that he has canceled Quidditch for the year. Along with this, there are a lot of spells and some locations that fans had hoped to see. One of them being Diagon Alley. With these being missed, many believe that there could be a DLC in the future.
Currently, there is no Hogwarts Legacy DLC that has been announced.
There seems to be a good chance that it may get it or they are already working on the second game. When looking forward here is when these two options could happen.
For the DLC, there is some precedent set for a DLC to come out anywhere from six months to a year later. Some big games such as Pokemon and even a smaller DLC for Elden Ring have shown that in recent years.
As for the second game, considering this one took about five years to release, fans may not want to get their hopes up. That being said, Hogwarts is already fleshed out and this time the team wouldn’t have to work through the middle of a pandemic, which is what caused Hogwarts Legacy to be pushed back to 2023.
Either way, once anything more is known about the possibility of a DLC, this article will be updated.
