Zebedee Game Bitcoin Miner Has Been Played By Mountains of People

Date:

Gaming fintech firm Zebedee – through its partnership with mobile gaming enterprise Fumb Games – has developed a game called Bitcoin Miner, a mobile application that simulates a crypto mining facility. This would be fun all in itself, but there’s even better news today in that the game has allegedly been played by more than one million people.

Zebedee Hits a Milestone with Bitcoin Miner

This is proof that everyone has caught, in one way or another, the crypto mining bug, and even if they don’t find themselves embarking on crypto extraction careers of their own where they’re running warehouses of digital rigs designed to mine new units of BTC and assorted cryptocurrencies, they can all at least see what it’s like and try it out on a limited level. Who knows? Perhaps the game is giving birth to enough mining love that it will create a whole new generation of miners for keeping the space alive.

The game is especially powerful for those with eco-friendlier feelings and tendencies. Now, they can test out the world of digital currency mining without using piles of electricity and allegedly putting the planet in harm’s way, something the mining industry has been accused of on several occasions. Paul West – the CEO of Fumb Games – explained in a recent statement:

The magic of Bitcoin Miner is that it’s a game about crypto that requires no crypto knowledge whatsoever to get into and earn real bitcoin. In fact, we hear from players all the time that they were a bit scared it would be a complex system, but it’s so simple, they got it instantly.

Ben Cousens – chief strategy officer at Zebedee – also threw his two cents into the mix, commenting:

Bitcoin Miner’s success is great validation of everything we’ve been building at Zebedee. Free-to-play was a massive revolution in mobile gaming. We believe rewarded play will be just as disruptive. While it’s still early, successful projects like Bitcoin Miner are proving that this concept does resonate with users and that the games can scale sustainably.

Zebedee has been at the center of a wide array of popular (and recent) bitcoin-focused games and applications. Not long ago, the company unveiled a bitcoin-centered chess game that’s now available for both Android and iOS phones. The company also has a new program in which it offers bitcoin rewards to those willing to listen to specific podcast segments.

A New Way of Offering Rewards

Cousens also commented on the latter, saying:

With this partnership, we’re supporting a new type of business model and economic activity, not just for the payments space, but in general… When money moves as seamlessly as information, or in this case, audio, it just opens a world of possibilities, and we’re happy to be pioneering what that means in the podcasting space alongside Fountain.
