Wild Rift Patch 4.4a Notes: Arena Mode Debut, Yuumi Nerfs, Vi Buffs, and more

The new Wild Rift Patch 4.4a update brings a brand new game mode! This is easily one of the greatest additions to the game, making for both a casual and competitive experience for players. In addition, there are some gameplay updates to champions and items. And understanding these changes, or at least looking them over, undeniably helps players perform at least a little bit better. Arena Mode Debut

Wild Rift Arena Mode makes its debut in Patch 4.4a. For those who don’t know, this is a 2v2v2v2 mode, functioning a little like TFT. It has a ranked system, but it’s also still casual friendly enough where it doesn’t feel quite match the tilt and intensity of a 5v5 Ranked Match.

This system was taken from League of Legends’, but it’s slightly different because it limits the champion pool players are allowed to choose from. This therefore forces players out of their comfort zone, and creates a factor of RNG into the gameplay — which is honestly a little fun.

FIORA (Buff)

    • Damage in the direction of a Vital: Maximum Health of target 3% → Maximum Health of target 3.5%
  • GRAND CHALLENGE
    • Damage of triggering all 4 Vitals: Maximum Health of target 12% → Maximum Health of target 14%

YASUO (Buff)

    • Cooldown: 21/20/19/18s → 18/18/18/18s

AATROX (Buff)

  • DEATHBRINGER STANCE
    • Damage: 5% – 12% Maximum Health of target → 5% – 15% Maximum Health of target

WARWICK (Buff)

  • JAWS OF THE BEAST
    • Damage based on target’s maximum Health: 6%/7%/8%/9% → 7%/8%/9%/10%
  • INFINITE DURESS
    • Cooldown: 75/65/55s → 70/60/50s

TWITCH (Adjust)

  • DEADLY VENOM
    • Damage per stack: 1/2/3/4/5 (1/4/7/10/13 level) + 3.5% Ability Power → 1/2/3/4/5 (1/4/7/10/13 level) + 2.5% Ability Power
  • CONTAMINATE
    • Damage of each Deadly Venom stack: 20/25/30/35 + 37% bonus Attack Damage + 30% Ability Power → 20/25/30/35 + 33% bonus Attack Damage + 20% Ability Power
    • Damage ratio to monsters: 130% → 80%
  • SPRAY AND PRAY
    • Ballistic speed: 4000 → 6000

YUUMI (Nerf)
