Tennessee Titans Cut Ben Jones

Date:

The Tennessee Titans will now be looking for a new starting center. They have cut Ben Jones, who has been the team’s center since 2016. As Tennessee continues its roster rebuild, Jones will become a free agent.

The NFL’s official Twitter account tweeted out the news that was reported by Ian Rapoport.

Jones was drafted to the Houston Texans out of the University of Georgia back in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He played both right guard and center for the Texans for four years before signing a four-year deal with the Titans.

In 2022, Jones signed another two-year deal with Tennessee, then made his very first Pro Bowl. Despite this, he will be released as a cap casualty. He was also injured in December of 2022, which led to a stint on the injured reserve. Jones will now be able to sign with any team.
