Trainers, those who played generation 8 will remember that now people can get Sword and Shield bundled with Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra in one package. Come November, players will be able to get the Treasure of Area Zero in the same way. Players should mark their calendars for the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC bundle.
Generation 9 DLC Bundle Coming November 3
On November 3, players who have not bought Scarlet or Violet can get it in a new package. Both Scarlet and Violet will come bundled with the DLC in one complete package. Unlike Generation 8, however, the DLC will already be integrated into the code of the game, ready for new players to access it.
These copies will only contain the Teal Mask as the Indigo Disk is not ready for release yet. Indigo Disk will be given to these players as a free update instead of requiring them to purchase it. This is, putting it bluntly, a slap in the face to players.
If this was their intention, they should have bundled both DLCs together in one big story or delayed the launch of Scarlet and Violet in order to give players one grand adventure. Giving some of the player base Indigo Disk for free while the others have to shell out extra money is basically saying “should’ve waited lol.”
The special purchase order the company plans to “reward” players with is also paltry at best. Players who buy this bundle can download 100 free Pokéballs. They could get the same thing by doing the Ace Academy Tournament or selling tera raid rewards. This is, quite frankly, pathetic.
People can also understand that the bundle might cost more than the base game if the tag price represents the cost of all three stories together. However, if this version also comes out to 60 dollars, the community should riot.
Is It Worth Getting?
All in all, if one is trying to introduce their friends to the newest games at their best, the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC bundle is worth it. However, for those who cannot look past the performance issues and glitches, or support the seemingly money-grubbing strategies the company is implementing, give this insult a skip.
Some can only note that those who are looking to get into Generation 9 this late in the game for whatever reasons will be able to get the most for their money.
