NFL Week 7 Picks Against the Spread

Date:

NFL Week 7 is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here are the NFL week 7 picks against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)

Last Week: 9-6

Season: 59-30-4

Thursday Night Football

Jacksonville Jaguars at New Orleans Saints (-3)

Derek Carr is battling through a shoulder injury and things aren’t too pretty. The Saints defense can keep things close and maybe win the game, but the smart pick is the Jaguars with the points.

Pick: Jaguars

Sunday Afternoon

Cleveland Browns (-1.5) at Indianapolis Colts

Jim Schwartz has done wonders with Cleveland’s defense this season. The offense is still struggling though. Indianapolis can take advantage of the Browns struggling offense and protect their home field.

Pick: Colts

Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-2.5)

Atlanta is finding out that Desmond Ridder has his limitations. The Buccaneers have struggled, but they should be able to get Mike Evans and Chris Godwin involved this week against the Falcons.

Pick: Buccaneers

Buffalo Bills (-8.5) at New England Patriots

The Patriots are a mess right now. Mac Jones can’t get the offense moving and the Bills will be refocused after a close call against the Giants in week 6.

Pick: Bills

Washington Commanders (-1.5) at New York Giants

The Giants have an injured quarterback and even when Daniel Jones is healthy, things aren’t running smoothly. Washington’s defensive line can take advantage of a bad Giants’ offensive line and pick up the win on the road.

Pick: Commanders

Las Vegas Raiders (-3) at Chicago Bears

Chicago is another team with an injured quarterback. Justin Fields is unlikely to play with a thumb injury, which means Tyson Bagent, an undrafted rookie is expected to start. The Raiders have enough to win and cover on the road.

Pick: Raiders

Detroit Lions at Baltimore Ravens (-3)

Two of the better teams in the league are matching up in this one. The Ravens are returning from England, so taking the Lions at home is the smart pick.

Pick: Lions

Sunday Evening

Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Rams (-3)

The Rams have injuries to the running back position, but they should still be able to run on the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s offense won’t be able to keep up.

Pick: Rams

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks (-7.5)

Seattle is coming home after a tough game at Cincinnati. Arizona has started to get banged up, with running back James Conner missing time. Seattle should defend their home turf and win by more than a touchdown.

Pick: Seahawks

Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (-5.5)

The Chargers will be on a short week and will be on the road in this one. Kansas City has their defense playing well so Patrick Mahomes and the offense should cover the spread.

Pick: Chiefs

Green Bay Packers (-1.5) at Denver Broncos

The Packers have struggled and it seems like there is some frustration in the building. Their defense is good and they are coming off a bye. Denver has not played well this year either, but they are at home.

Pick: Broncos

Sunday Night Football

Miami Dolphins at Philadelphia Eagles (-1.5)

Philadelphia is coming off a loss to the Jets and the offense is struggling with turnovers. Miami has a high-powered offense that will be hard to keep up with if they don’t get things straightened out.

Pick: Dolphins

Monday Night Football

San Francisco 49ers (-6.5) at Minnesota Vikings

San Francisco is banged up and coming off a bad loss to the Browns. They still should be able to take advantage of a bad Vikings defense.

Pick: 49ers
