NFL Draft Prospects in the 2022 Armed Forces Bowl

Date:

The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2022 Armed Forces Bowl.

Baylor Bears Draft Prospects

Siaka Ika, DL

Ika started his career at LSU, where he was a rotational lineman on the 2019 National Championship team. He transferred to Baylor after the 2020 season. In his career, he has 70 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. This season, he has 24 total tackles and two tackles for loss.

He stands 6-foot-4 and 350 pounds, which will make him one of the biggest players in the class. Ika can be disruptive and take on double teams well. He may be limited on pass rushing downs at the next level, but he can stop the run.

Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Fourth Round Pick

Connor Galvin, OT

Galvin has been starting games or the Bears since the 2018 season. He broke into the starting lineup as a freshman and hasn’t looked back since, only missing games due to injury. His play in 2021 earned him a spot on plenty All-American teams.

At 6-foot-7 and 302 pounds, Galvin has solid size and length for the position. He has been a solid pass blocker over the course of his career and that could translate to the NFL level. There is a chance that Galvin is a solid pick on day two of the NFL Draft.

Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Fourth Round Pick

Other Draft Prospects: OG/ Jacob Gall (4th-6th), LB Dillon Doyle (6th-UFA), DL Gabe Hall (6th-UFA), TE Ben Sims (UFA), WR Gavin Holmes (UFA), OT Khalil Keith (UFA)

Air Force Falcons Draft Prospects

Brad Roberts, RB

Roberts has been a solid running back for the last three seasons, but has really amped things up over the last two seasons for the Falcons. He has 3,429 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns in his career. This season, Roberts has played his best with 1,612 yards and 15 touchdowns.

At 5-foot-11 and 205 pounds, Roberts has a nice build that could fit the NFL. He is a tough runner, but hasn’t shown the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield in Air Force’s offense. If he gets a waiver to play in the NFL, Roberts could provide value.

Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent

Vince Sanford, LB

Sanford has been a good player for Air Force for the last two seasons. He has 116 total tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss and 15 sacks in his career. This season, he 50 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.

At 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, Sanford is a little below typical NFL linebacker measurements. He has shown that he can make an impact stopping the run and getting after the quarterback. Getting a waiver may be tough, but Sanford has good production.

Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent
