When Liquid formed this lineup at the end of last year, the Counter-Strike community was filled with excitement at the prospect of one of NA’s finest organizations getting back to the top.

However, their debut performance at BLAST Spring Groups was rather worrying, as they barely scraped by a Spirit team without their star player Danil “donk” Kryshkovets and with their coach replacing him.

Thankfully for fans of the squad, Liquid managed to regroup and go all guns blazing into their next matchup with GamerLegion, where they claimed victory in convincing fashion. It will be interesting to see them perform against a team the calibre of FaZe.

FaZe

Despite starting the tournament off on the wrong foot, getting upset by GamerLegion in Group B’s opening game, FaZe quickly recovered and won four maps straight to advance into the BLAST Spring Final qualification match against Liquid.

This will be their first game against their former player Twistzz, who left the team at the tail end of 2023 in favour of moving back to Liquid, where he made a name for himself earlier in his career.

FaZe’s newest addition David “frozen” Cernansky will try his very hardest to prove that he is a worthy replacement of the Canadian superstar.
