Counter Strike 2 on Console

While Counter Strike 2 is a popular game, it will not be on any Console. At least not initially. This will be upsetting to players who want to play the new Counter Strike game on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. There is a small glimmer of hope though.

Counter Strike Console History

Counter Strike and CS:GO were on Xbox and Xbox 360 respectively at one point. They were not nearly as popular on those systems are they are on PC which is why there have not been any ports to newer consoles in some time. That being said, there is a chance with how much better crossplay is for games.

The issue has been and always will be whether controller or mouse and keyboard players have an advantage over one another. If this were to be minimized then there would be a greater chance.

For now and likely for the near future, CS2 being on consoles is extremely unlikely. Even after CSGO was expected to eventually make its way to Next-Gen Consoles

CS2 on Mac?

Even players who want to play CS2 Macs are going to be left out with this release. That one is a lot more surprising than consoles being left out. This feels like it will have its own release date sometime within the first year of CS2’s release.
