DRIP Network FAQ
This was the most painful part of getting into DRIP Network, so let me take you through it step by step.
If you live in the United States you may run into some roadblocks trying to convert dollars to BNB to DRIP tokens. Here in the states Binance isn’t really a convenient option, or even a legal option depending on the state you call home.
So what should you do instead to get on the DRIP train? Let’s go through the necessary steps in this article.
There are other ways to do this, but I used Crypto.com and that’s what I know and that’s what we’ll discuss here.
- First, you need the app. Download the Crypto.com app, sign up, and if you’d please use my code I’d greatly appreciate it thank you very much: ujux2r57xh
- Once you are in the Crypto.com app, open up your Crypto Wallet and search for BNB which is the Binance Coin.
- Select “Buy BNB” and purchase some BNB, I started with $100 but everyone has different risk tolerances. Do make sure you get some extra for those first few rounds of gas fees you will encounter later on.
- Now you need to move your BNB into a wallet. I use MetaMask myself, and it was pretty straightforward though nerve-wracking while I waited for those first transactions to make their way through the ether. Binance Academy has a tutorial here that will walk you through it more clearly than my prose would be able, and there are pictures! Make sure you’re setting up the Binance Smart Chain Mainnet, not the Test Net.
- Make sure you are on the Smart Chain, this is important! Now copy down your MetaMask Wallet address and we are approaching the finish line.
- Head on back into your Crypto.com app and your Crypto Wallet within the app. Go back to BNB and select the Transfer button, then click Withdraw and next select External Wallet.
- Select Add Wallet, and then at Select Network make sure to select BSC — paste your copied MetaMask Wallet address (triple check here that your address is correct), and voila! All you have to do now is enter the amount and make the transfer.
NOTE: Always double check when sending BNB with Crypto.com, that you are using BSC (BEP-20), as that is the format required for DRIP and MetaMask.
Now you’ve got some BNB into your MetaMask wallet you’re ready to buy DRIP and start receiving that sweet daily interest!
- Go to https://drip.community/fountain and exchange your BNB for DRIP.
- Enter a Buddy address in the Referral section. Consider adding me as your buddy: 0xc66c2edFe62cF46B04D21F1e7161b1d04Ac1EC07
- Deposit at least 1.12 DRIP (The .12 covers the tax when depositing into the Fountain. Make sure you have spare BNB for gas fees as well and check out my article on gas fees here.)
