Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) has released details of the early awaited Hong Kong FinTech Week 2023, set to reshape the future of fintech across various dimensions of financial services and beyond.
Themed “Fintech Redefined”, the Hong Kong FinTech Week (HKFW) will take place from 30th October 2023 to 5th November 2023. InvestHK organized the event in partnership with the Financial Services and The Treasury Bureau (FSTB). The two organizations also partnered up with the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) to co-organize the event.
According to the organizers, this event is set to attract over 30k attendees and more than 5 million online viewers across the globe. These attendees will get the opportunity to hear from over 300 distinguished speakers, with over 540 exhibitors lined up at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Among the Keynote speakers include representatives from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and regulators, Mainland government and regulators, and industry leaders.
Commenting on the event, the Acting Director-General of Investment Promotion of InvestHK, Dr Jimmy Chiang, said:

Continuously pushing the boundaries of excellence, we are thrilled to have HKFW as an anchor event of VIVA HONG KONG, a remarkable lineup of financial, tech, Web3, and cultural events from the end of October to November, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and startups from around the world to be part of the dynamic momentum reinforcing Hong Kong’s status as Asia’s World City, financial center and fintech hub.”
The event has been designed to address six main themes, namely, global regulation with a key focus on sustainability and green finance, Artificial Intelligence, funding and venture capital, Web3, and other emerging technologies. In addition, there will be numerous captivating metaverse experiences to demonstrate the endless possibilities of virtual reality in promoting Hong Kong’s culture.
Notably, during the week, on October 31, the organizers have scheduled to resume the cross-boundary Greater Bay Area Day. The full-day forum will be organized in Shenzhen, followed by a series tours to Mainland tech giants. Reportedly, it provides ample opportunities and synergies between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
This year’s event introduces many new elements, including the Women in Tech Lounge. By design, the Lounge will offer women a unique space with special workshops, panels, and networking events that are tailored to empower and connect women in the tech industry. InvestHK will also host the grand finale of the Global Scaleup Competition, which will feature 13 finalists who will carefully be selected by a panel of 50n international judges. HKFW will also include a series of other events under VIVA HONG KONG.
