FIFA 22 Team of the Group Stage was confirmed as the next promotion for EA Sports’ popular Ultimate Team mode.
Team of the Group Stage is a special UEFA themed promotion for the organization’s three big competitions: the Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League. This promotion celebrates the best performing players from the group stages of each competition. How the exact breakdown of cards per promotion will work out remains to be seen, but expect items from each competition regardless.

FIFA 22 Team of the Group Stage will kick off Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. ET. It’s expected that there will be two teams meaning a second promotional squad will enter packs on Dec. 8 at the same time. Also, fans should expect mini-releases on each weekend adding somewhere around three or four new items to packs. Finally, SBCs and objectives should be prevalent as well.
This release will also coincide with Road to the Knockouts upgrading based on the three game threshold and making the knockout stage. A wide array of special items based on UEFA competitions for players to craft squads around.
Fans can expect items from teams like Chelsea, Ajax, Manchester City, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Lyon, West Ham United and more.
