By now gamers already knew that the Xbox Games Showcase would have some big surprises. Who would’ve thought a Fable Cinematic Trailer would be there to kick off the showcase? Well, half the internet by now.
While it’s true that there has been talking and leaks of Playground Games reviving the Fable franchise, the title finally made a worldwide appearance during the Xbox Games Showcase. As shown from the trailer it appears that in this installment players can actually visit giants and can even slay them.
The trailer itself is a one-on-one interview with a giant who doesn’t seem to care for adventurers/heroes. He expressed how he just wants to grow his vegetables. It isn’t until the adventure comes in and gives the giant a fight. While the adventurer can be seen eating a sandwich on top of the giant’s broken and battered glasses, the giant’s fate is currently unknown.
It’s been 13 years since the launch of Fable III, the last installment in the franchise on the Xbox 360. Back in 2020 Playground Games took over for the Lionhead Studios, which closed in 2016. The new Fable title will currently be on Xbox Gamepass come launch day. Now official release date has been given.
