Crossfire: Sierra Squad is a brand-new game built from the ground up for VR. We’ve been working hard to make the game an immersive and intuitive experience that gets you into the action immediately,” said Fred White, director of marketing at Smilegate West, in an official release.

“We’ve fine-tuned the in-game mechanics to come up with a game experience that we believe you’ll want to play over and over, both solo and with friends, in a world you’ll want to spend a lot of time in. Our goal is to bring all fans of military FPS games together, regardless of experience level, into an exciting and shared VR adventure – solo or co-op with up to 4 players on a team.”

Crossfire: Sierre Squad is scheduled to launch on August 29th for PC VR and PlayStation VR2 headsets. According to Fred White, the PS VR2 version will feature support for the platform’s new haptic feedback system, allowing players to feel every shot and explosion via the Sense controllers as well as the headset itself.

The Sense controllers’ adaptive triggers also play a role in the game. For instance, you can hold your breath for a more steady shot while using a long-distance weapon by squeezing the trigger halfway. Visit here for more information on the PS VR2 exclusive features.
