College Football Playoff Bracketology November 26

Date:

Each week teams will be fighting for position in an effort to make the College Football Playoff. The teams will be ranked each week, but what matters most is who they have played and defeated already on the field. Preseason rankings will not be taken into consideration here. Here is College Football Playoff Bracketology November 26.

CFP Four

1. Georgia Bulldogs (12-0)

Georgia didn’t have their best performance against Georgia Tech, but they got the win. They have proven to be the best team in the country with their resume and their play on the field.

This week: vs. Alabama Crimson Tide (11-1) (Game in Atlanta, GA)

2. Michigan Wolverines (12-0)

Michigan notched one of the best wins of the season by defeating Ohio State. They are undefeated and have some pretty impressive wins that they gathered at the end of the season. Michigan looks like they’ll be the two-seed unless they or Georgia slips up this week.

This week: vs. Iowa Hawkeyes (10-2) (Game in Indianapolis, IN)

3. Washington Huskies (12-0)

The Huskies completed their undefeated regular season by defeating Washington State in a close game. They have notable wins and with Ohio State losing, they can move up to third heading into Pac-12 Championship Week.

This week: vs. Oregon Ducks (11-1) (Game in Las Vegas, NV)

4. Florida State Seminoles (12-0)

With a backup quarterback, Florida State was able to defeat Florida. Things didn’t look pretty, but the Seminoles just have to win one more game to make the College Football Playoff.

This week: vs. Louisville Cardinals (Game in Charlotte, NC)

First Four Out

5. Oregon Ducks (11-1)

Oregon notched a big win over Oregon State in rivalry week. They look like one of the four best teams in the country, but have the loss to Washington holding them back. A win over Washington puts them in a pretty good position to make the CFP.

This week: vs. Washington Huskies (12-0) (Game in Las Vegas, NV)

6. Ohio State Buckeyes (11-1)

Ohio State has notched some decent wins over Notre Dame and Penn State this season. So the loss to Michigan shouldn’t drop them too far. The problem for them will be other teams playing in conference championship games with chances to jump the Buckeyes in the rankings.

This week: N/A

7. Texas Longhorns (11-1)

Texas defeated Texas Tech in their last game of the regular season and looked good doing it. Their win over Alabama really helps their case. If they win the Big 12 Championship Game, Texas will at least be in the mix to be selected for the CFP.

This week: vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys (9-3) (Game in Arlington, TX)

8. Alabama Crimson Tide (11-1)

The Crimson Tide needed a small miracle to defeat Auburn, but got the job done. For Alabama, the important thing is that they got the win. If they defeat Georgia, it is likely that Alabama will make a big jump in the rankings and gets into the CFP. The thing currently holding them back is their head-to-head loss to Texas.

This week: vs. Georgia Bulldogs (12-0) (Game in Atlanta, GA)

Next Four Out

9. Missouri Tigers (10-2)

While they are out of the CFP picture, a win over Arkansas gets Missouri a spot in a New Year’s Six Bowl.

This week: N/A

10. Penn State Nittany Lions (10-2)

A win over Michigan State caps of a solid year for Penn State, with their only losses being to Ohio State and Michigan.

This week: N/A

11. Ole Miss Rebels (10-2)

Ole Miss won the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving to notch double-digit wins. A New Year’s Six Bowl could still be in play.

This week: N/A

12. Oklahoma Sooners (10-2)

Oklahoma won their regular-season finale against TCU to get to 10 wins.

This week: N/A
