Astralis

When this Astralis roster came together at the tail end of 2023, everyone knew that it had a ton of potential. However, no one thought it would be realized so soon, with the Danes delivering Vitality with their first loss since acquiring William “mezii” Merriman last year. The former Heroic duo of Martin “stavn” Lund and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard seem to be fitting in seamlessly with their new teammates.

Defeating the world’s best team twice in the same tournament would be an unbelievable feat. However, Astralis have shown that they can go toe-to-toe against any opponent and cause an upset.

Vitality

Vitality haven’t struggled this much in a tournament, since their early exit in IEM Sydney last year. Excluding their easy victory against OG, they’ve had two close games, resulting in a loss to Astralis and a narrow victory over Falcons. The Paris Major Champions will be keen to exact their revenge on the Danes, after falling short in their earlier encounter.

Despite their struggles, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut continues to deliver on the server, with the sensational Frenchman sporting an insanely high 1.45 rating over the course of the tournament thus far.
