Boston-based buyout house Abry Partners has sealed a $400m sale of pharmacy procurement specialist Sentry Data Systems to trade buyer Craneware.
More than 10,000 hospitals, clinics, integrated delivery networks and pharmacies across the US use Sentry’s integrated platform for their procurement, drug utilisation and compliance solutions. Abry bought the business in 2015.
The deal is expected to close over the next month. Piper Sandler served as financial advisor to Abry and DLA Piper provided legal counsel.
AltAssets reported earlier today that Abry waslooking to raise up to $1.25bn for what would be its biggest structured equity fund yet.
The firm is currently making structured equity investments out of its $1.05bn Abry Senior Equity V vehicle launched in 2017.
Abry raised $2.1bn for its most recent flagship private equity investment fund two years ago, outdoing the $1.9bn it raised for Fund VIII.
Recent deals from the firm have included selling music rights data company Music Reports to MidOcean Partners.
