The Minnesota Vikings are set to get wide receiver Justin Jefferson back from injured reserve. After suffering a hamstring injury in Week 5, Jefferson was eventually put on IR, being held out of the past seven games.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Tuesday.
This hamstring injury caused him to miss the only games of his career so far. Jefferson had played in every single NFL game prior to this injured reserve stint. He’s made three Pro Bowls, one First Team All-Pro and was the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2020.
In five games so far this year, Jefferson has 36 receptions for 571 yards and three touchdowns. Last season, he finished fifth in MVP voting, won Offensive Player of the Year and led the league in catches and receiving yards (128, 1,809 respectively)
