2023 Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings

Date:

The 2023 NFL Draft is over, giving a clearer picture of rosters for the 2023 season. With that fantasy football rankings can be released. Here are the 2023 fantasy football tight end rankings. (Note: These are best used for standard-scoring leagues and will be updated until the season starts)

1-5

1. Travis Kelve, Kansas City Chiefs

Kelce had over 200 fantasy points last season and no tight end was within 60 points of him. He is the top tight end heading into 2023.

2. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens

After ranking fifth last season, there is hope that Andrews can finish higher in 2023. His production was great when Lamar Jackson was playing, but dipped when he wasn’t.

3. George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers

He missed the first two weeks of the season and Kittle still finished as the second-ranked tight end last season. Kittle specifically played well with Brock Purdy at quarterback so with Purdy returning from injury, he should have another successful season.

4. T.J. Hockenson, Minnesota Vikings

Hockenson ranked fourth last year and it is reasonable to expect him to finish around the same spot this season. Justin Jefferson will draw a lot of attention, which will open things up for Hockenson.

5. Darren Waller, New York Giants

In 2022, Waller missed time, but averaged 6.3 points per game. He has a new home with the Giants, but they utilized Daniel Bellinger heavily in 2022 and Waller can take those targets.

6-10

6. Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles

Despite missing five weeks, Goedert finished as the 10th-ranked tight end last season.

7. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

Pitts averaged 4.8 fantasy points last season, but missed the last six weeks of the season. If he is on the field, he is a threat to be a top-10 fantasy tight end.

8. Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars

Engram had a breakout season and finished sixth overall for tight ends. Calvin Ridley is joining the fold, which could reduce Engram’s target share, but he should still be productive.

9. Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints

Now that he is classified as a tight end, Hill has tremendous value. He ranked third for tight ends last year, but he is inconsistent. In games he plays wildcat quarterback he is much more effective.

10. Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears

Kmet became a solid target for Justin Fields last season, averaging 5.7 points per game. The addition of D.J. Moore may limit what Kmet could do in 2023, but it seems like he’s turned a corner.

11-15

11. Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers

Freiermuth averaged 5.7 points per game in 2022 and if Kenny Pickett emerges more, Freiermuth can improve.

12. David Njoku, Cleveland Browns

For the 2022 season, Njoku averaged 6.0 points per game. If Deshaun Watson can knock off the rust, he could do the same thing in 2023.

13. Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints

Johnson is the more traditional tight end for the Saints and was ranked eighth last season.

14. Chigozeim Okonwo, Tennessee Titans

Okonkwo started off the season slowly in 2022, but finished strong in his rookie season. He’s taking that momentum into 2023.

15. Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans

Schultz averaged 5.7 points per game last season, but a new team may make it harder for him to produce.
