Professor Netanel Lindner, a leading theoretical physics and quantum computing figure, will speak at the IQT Nordics Inkomfa in June 2024. As a professor at the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology and the CTO and co-founder of Qedma, Lindner brings a wealth of knowledge and innovation to the quantum technology landscape. His academic journey, from earning a Ph.D. at the Technion to conducting postdoctoral research at UCaltech and eventually joining the faculty of the Physics Department at the Technion, has been marked by significant achievements and contributions to the field of quantum computing.
Lindner’s work has spanned various groundbreaking areas, including photonic and topological quantum computing and non-equilibrium topological quantum matter. These pioneering contributions have advanced our understanding of quantum systems and opened new avenues for practical applications of quantum technologies. His dedication to the field has been recognized through numerous prestigious awards, such as the Clore Fellowship, Rothschild Fellowship, the Krill Prize by the Wolf Foundation, and the ERC Starter Grant, underscoring his impact and leadership in quantum research.
In 2020, Lindner’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Qedma, a startup company focused on developing software solutions to address the critical challenge of errors in quantum computers. This venture highlights the practical implications of his research, aiming to enhance the reliability and performance of quantum computing technologies through innovative error correction and management strategies.
