Assault Rifles have been a Call of Duty staple since the game’s inception. With their ability to deal high damage regardless of the range, they tend to be a Call of Duty player’s go-to. When it comes to Warzone, it’s no different. In a game mode where you tend to engage on long-range fights more so than the normal Call of Duty game mode, it’s perfect for the environment.
Assault Rifles in Warzone are versatile, couple that with the Gunsmith system, players can customize and build them to their liking.
With every new update, the meta— the Assault Rifle meta— shifts. The new Season 4 Reloaded update nerfed a good portion of the Cold War’s Assault Rifles but buffed some unexpected ones as well. Even with those nerfs, they are still the go-to weapon for fighting at a medium to long range.
There are about 20 Assault Rifles to choose from in Warzone. Past favors such as the CR-56 AMAX and the FFAR 1 come to mind. Even with that in mind, no current Assault Rifle is as good as the newest addition, the C58.
Brand new to Warzone, the C58 quickly became the head honcho when it comes to Assault Rifles in many players minds. It’s a powerhouse; the best Ground Loot weapon this season. Once players add it as a Custom load, it’s over.
