Unlimint, a London-based global payment services provider has emerged as the official payment provider of Telegram.
Telegram is a free instant messaging service with its operation centre in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
As Telegram’s payment provider, Unlimint said it has integrated its payment technology into Telegram.
The integration, it said, will facilitate the purchase of goods and services directly from the chat box.
The fintech company announced these developments on Tuesday in a press statement shared with Finance Magnates.
Unlimint, which was rebranded from Cardpay in 2020, noted that customers will be able to enjoy paid features made available to subscribers.
“With the integration, Unlimint’s clients will be able to use the fintech’s solution straight from the messenger as well as their website or app, creating a seamless experience for end users,” Unlimint explained in the statement.
‘Evolution of Online Shopping’
Unlimint in the statement explained that the Telegram payment integration became important to meet the demands of modern consumers.
Furthermore, it said the integration is “a response to the evolution of online shopping.”
On security, Unlimint noted that its integrated payment system uses a three-domain user authentication system for every transaction conducted via Telegram.
This security protocol, it explained, serves to ensure that customers’ information is kept private.
Moreover, the system has been designed to ensure that sellers on the messaging platform are not able to store and process buyers’ personal data.
Additionally, there is an automated anti-fraud system in place to expunge suspicious transactions from the platform, Unlimint said.
Irene Skrynova, the Chief Customer Officer at Unlimint, noted the payments provider’s collaboration with Telegram, brings “continuous innovation and secure payments” for sales teams.
Skrynova explained that the integration comes “at a perfect time” when electronic commerce is evolving into include multi-channel safe purchases.
“At Unlimint, we are always monitoring all current trends, platforms and systems to make sure that our payments solution has all the latest integrations and tools that would be useful to our existing and potential merchants.”
