I have been trading cryptocurrencies since early 2017. I’ve researched, explored, and experimented with countless projects. But there is only one I strongly believe in. And that is Basic Attention Token.
The Basic Attention Token is the currency used on the Brave Browser. It works like this.
Brave Browser blocks all ads, trackers, and other malware. But users can choose to get paid for viewing ads still. The user will be paid in Basic Attention Token, which is currently $0.43 as of writing this article. This is a big contrast to Google’s model.
You see, Google makes money by collecting your data. They have a file on you. And they sell that file to companies who are trying to sell things to you. This is why you start seeing sock advertisements if you Google socks. Google has used this formula brilliantly.
Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is worth over a trillion dollars. By selling your data. You don’t win anything. Internet creators get pennies on the dollar. The only real winner here are big advertising companies.
Brave Browser might change everything about the that.
It gives the power back to us, the internet users. If we want to opt out of all ads entirely, that’s absolutely possible. But we can also choose to effortlessly support our favorite creators by tipping them BAT. There’s even an auto-tipping tool to spread the love.
These are the 3 reasons I think this is a solid project (and could go to the moon).
