Arabian Camels to Launch ‘Antara’ Movie NFT in Partnership with Swapp Protocol

--  Arabian Camels, a tight-knit NFT community revolutionizing the movie business, today announced the launch of an ‘Antara Movie NFT' in partnership with Swapp Protocol, offering a groundbreaking NFT Farming utility that allows the movie NFT holders to get an almost 100 percent APY before the movie even gets released. The ‘Antara Movie NFT' seeks to grant buyers up to 50 percent of the intellectual property rights to “Antara,” a $50 million dollar feature film. Antara is based on the life of Antarah Ibn Shaddad, an ancient Arabian knight and poet, famous for his adventurous life.

Arabian Camels will partner with Swapp Protocol to produce the world's first decentralized feature film production NFTs with DeFi capabilities. The idea behind partnering with Swapp Protocol is to enable the use of their decentralized finance products to eliminate the monetary risk associated with movie funding and revolutionize the industry.

Swapp brings a new dynamic to the NFT project. Their vast multidimensional capabilities within the DeFi space, allows Arabian Camels to integrate the movie industry with NFT technology.  Swapp Protocol is not only the leader in decentralized finance, but also a pioneer in the NFT space. Swapp's NFT Marketplace is home to exclusive, vetted, utility based NFTs, which aim to merge the worlds of art and blockchain technology.

“My vision was to create a system to produce films that normally cost in excess of $50M, completely risk free,'' said Alexander Amaratei, the Producer of Antara. “In addition to eliminating funding risks, this system would allow films to be owned by the fans, the NFT owners. This feat would not have been possible without Swapp's innovative NFT Farming capabilities and blockchain/cryptocurrency knowledge and platforms.”

Swapp's NFT farming platform will allow Arabian Camel NFT owners to earn passive income on their NFTs.  The Farming allows the films to be funded, while simultaneously providing a direct monetary benefit to those who support the project, before the theatrical release. This paradigm shift moves the control of the industry away from traditional lenders and production studios, and into the hands of individuals/fans who support the film, which Swapp coined.

The historical significance of this NFT drop cannot be overlooked.  For the first time in history, a feature film will be funded through the release of a NFT, and the Arabian Camels and the Swapp Protocol will pave the way. This NFT project will completely revolutionize and ‘de-risk' an entire industry.

Leveraging Swapp's large real world data company helps provide insight, creating a competitive advantage as we replace the antiquated system of movie funding.  As a partner, Swapp has proven to be able to identify market opportunities and expeditiously implement/execute cutting edge solutions as seen through their NFT Marketplace, Decentralized Exchange, and Data Monetization App.

“With the power of community, speed of the internet, and dexterity of DeFi, we are generating a tectonic shift that will create waves of opportunity in the film industry.” – Tural Bayev (CEO, Swapp Protocol)

The movie is being directed by a world-class Hollywood director, who instantly agreed to join the project when they were introduced to the concept of Antara. Members from the Arabian Camel NFT community will share in ownership of the film, get roles in the movie, credit as producers, and join the production team for exclusive gatherings on the set in the Arabian Desert with the cast and crew. The differentiation of this NFT project is it's real-world utility, separating itself from the typical NFT projects inflated by hype alone. The Arabian Camel NFT is becoming a powerful symbol of what is achievable when crypto communities join forces, united by a common vision.

The Arabian Camels envision merging Movies and NFTs with DeFi, Gaming, and the Metaverse, with a focus on community, extracting value from the booming transmedia space, and sharing the value entertainment properties with the Arabian Camel community. Prospective film distributors would pay the owners of the Antara Movie NFT to distribute the movie in theaters and/or streaming channels, tying the Arabian Camel community into millions of dollars worth of value in the real world.

Arabian Camels have also collaborated with Dominic Ryder, CEO of vEmpire, whose token has recently rocketed 1500 percent and reached a market cap of $100M. Dominic Ryder's protocol is in the process of designing and creating the ANTARA Play-To-Earn game, which has already gotten the attention of some prominent VC firms. The multiplayer raiding game is expected to plant the Arabian Camels brand and the Antara IP firmly into the Metaverse, and add another layer of value for Arabian Camels holders. The game is set to bring fun and reliable income to thousands of players in developing countries and will run off of a scholarship model. The Arabian Camels NFTs are now to be a commodity and have functionality within the game. In conjunction, they will also be launching their very own gaming token, the in-game currency that is set to be listed on major Cryptocurrency exchanges.

The production of the movie was meticulously put together with the help of professors of Arabic Literature from Oxford, Cambridge, Yale, and the School of Oriental and African studies, meaning it's not another Marvel. It has a very rich, intelligent, and powerful historical appeal. It was originally set to be shot in NEOM, Saudi Arabia, but Abu Dhabi, as a modern tech hub, has also shown a keen willingness to accommodate the production, to be credited as the ones that helped to bring this epic story to the world. The production team is currently assessing which of the Middle Eastern regions can offer the best incentives and working conditions for the production.

The story of Antara is reminiscent of both Alexander the Great and Romeo and Juliet, of the Middle East. His story has been told repeatedly for the past 1,500 years. He was a black slave in ancient/pre-Islamic Arabia, who won his freedom and became a lofty knight. He rose to stardom in the 5th century, not only due to his character and prowess on the battlefield but also, his miraculous talent as a poet. His poetry was held in such high regard, that it was actually sewn in gold, and suspended on the Kaaba in Mecca before the days of Islam. To this day, if one studies Arabic Literature in Oxford or Cambridge, the poetry of Antara is still studied and revered.

DarkShield Games Pioneering the Play to Earn Market

The studio launched a variety of 2D and 3D RPG games with great success in the past. Now, the team has their eyes set on a bigger goal, bringing the play-to-earn gaming model to the market. The play-to-earn concept is simple. Players have the chance to earn rewards that can be converted to real-world assets. This business model incentivizes users to play more and unlocks all the effort, funding, and time put into gaming titles.

GameFi

GameFi is the merger of gaming and finance. In the past, this merger consisted of MMRPG's (massive multiplayer role-playing games) originally as many now have working economies. These games have long offered fiat auction houses to let players unlock value. However, these centralized systems were slow and the players had no real way to verify the scarcity of the items they were purchasing.

The randomness of some NFT-based games can make it difficult to predict your income. Since NFTs are unique digital assets, their value is determined slightly differently than normal cryptocurrencies.

Rather than reviewing the assets market cap, NFT's value comes from their capabilities, scarcity, and their personal connection with the collector. The more you play and the better your chances of securing major wins.

What Makes DarkShield Different

DarkShield is different than other gaming studios in a couple of days. For one, the studio only works with play to earn blockchain games. As such, the developers can direct 100% of their focus on making these titles as fun and profitable as possible. Additionally, DarkShield operates on a multi-chain infrastructure which helps to reduce the cost of playing and opens up the ecosystem for more players.

DarkShield leverages the power of the Binance Smart Chain. The BSC is a fourth-generation blockchain that supports full DeFi capabilities including staking, farming, and lending. This multi-purpose digital asset can be used to send value, pay fees, staking, and as an in-game currency across multiple titles.

The DarkShield Marketplace

Users can collect valuable in-game assets in the form of cryptocurrencies and NFTs when they play DarkShield games. Once you have some treasure, you can head over to the marketplace to convert your winnings into other popular cryptocurrencies or digital assets. The DarkShield marketplace operates as a non-custodial peer-to-peer market for all digital assets acquired within the studio's titles.

DarkShield Studios believes that blockchain gaming can be so much more. The team wants to bring AAA-level quality gaming to the sector with cross-chain capabilities. Users will be able to sell and trade valuable NFTs they earned through gameplay. Additionally, the system will support NFT lending.

P2P Lending

Peer-to-peer lending systems leverage large smart contracts called lending pools to provide a more democratic and open process. Unlike your local bank branch, there are no gatekeepers on these loans. Your approval is strictly based on your collateral. As such, it's a more transparent and just process that doesn't require you to jump through unnecessary hoops to access funding.

About DarkShield

DarkShield has the business model and technology to provide users with a more robust and fruitful experience. The developers have been hard at work researching the best features to add to their titles. Now they are ready to begin releasing these next-gen titles to the public. For now, the group has just released a working demo of their first game, Zygut. Like all DarkShield games, you can earn some serious cryptocurrency playing and having fun.

TWO TWO Partners with the City of Las Vegas

TWO TWO and the City have partnered to invigorate the Downtown Arts District. With immersion, interaction, NFTs and multiple forms of reality, TWO TWO's collaborations with some of the world's finest artists, composers and engineers are representative of the inspiration behind creativity, focusing on the expansion of artistic vision and disrupting the entire industry. Reimagining mediums, TWO TWO transcends all current artist experiences. As the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas recognizes the need to exhibit art in a manner that remains relevant to future generations.

“TWO TWO is a perfect partner to help us re-invigorate our Arts District to attain world class status,” according to Tammy Christensen, Senior Economic Development Officer of the City of Las Vegas. “We look forward to hosting the transformation of the art world happening in our amazing City.”

As the bohemian jewel of downtown Las Vegas, the Arts District is already prominent. An absolute Mecca of food, music, fashion, and of course art, the area is home to the city's most exciting venues, boutiques, restaurants, bars, and art galleries, serving up the best culture Southern Nevada has to offer. From the hippest bars like ReBar, which is a combination of a bar and antique shop where literally EVERYTHING is for sale, to the most delectable restaurants like Esther's Kitchen, founded by Michelin five-star chef James Tree, the Arts District is the true cultural hub of Las Vegas. “Everything about the Arts District is independent and free-spirited,” says Trees. “Unlike the big hotels on the strip, where everything fits nicely into a theme, the Arts District is its own entity. That's what makes it so fun and exciting.”

You can shop for the most vibrant modern and vintage fashions at places like Glam Factory Vintage and Del'la Couture, or enjoy the best theater this side of Broadway at The Cockroach Theater or the Vegas Theater Company. Cocktail lounges like The Velveteen Rabbit and high-brow coffee shops like Makers and Finders are more New York Soho chic than Vegas Strip kitsch, and craft breweries like HUDL Brewing and Able Baker are making names for themselves by churning out the tastiest and most unique craft brews in the country. Popular venues such as Ninja Karaoke offer up a full throttle Tokyo karaoke experience, with themed rooms that are perfect for hosting your next birthday or business party, while trendy salons like The Atomic Lounge can give you the most stylish classic looks from the 1950s to today.

But of course, what would the Las Vegas Arts District be without the art.You don't even have to set foot in one of the district's many remarkable galleries in order to peruse the murals that beautify the walls of almost every building in the area. Whether in search of a limited-edition print, the perfect piece to tie a room together, or the ideal artist to bring a custom commission to life, the Arts District's galleries are treasures troves for both the casual and serious art lover alike. The Arts Factory is a sprawling converted warehouse that serves as home to the city's most celebrated local artists' studios, and Helios Fine Art is another renowned venue known for pushing boundaries and challenging the viewer.

For those seeking vintage collectibles, furniture, knickknacks, and tchotchkes, Retro Vegas is a total time machine of Vegas kitsch, specializing in the best remnants of the bygone era. Still, perhaps the most exciting aspect of this burgeoning Vegas cultural phenomenon is their renowned First Friday events. On the first Friday of every month, the Arts District hosts a huge block party where the city's best musicians, artists, food vendors, and clothing designers come together to showcase their trend-setting work.  It is the best party in town. Although best known as a monthly event, the First Friday Foundation extends its community outreach efforts well beyond the first Friday of each month.

As a non-profit organization, the First Friday Foundation serves to empower local arts, culture, and education through artistic opportunities for thousands of students in the Clark County School District. This directly aligns with TWO TWO's own mission statement, to connect and enrich the global community through arts and entertainment. As the first immersive art gallery in the district, TWO TWO will become the touchstone from which all future galleries and art will emerge. So forget your tired old Las Vegas strip, and welcome yourself to the city's best kept secret, located in the southern downtown within walking distance to Fremont St.

“If you want to learn about history, you could read history books but that's a single perspective that may be tainted by class or politics,” according to Steven W Meistrich, Co-Founder and CEO of TWO TWO. “In my opinion, if you really want to understand and embrace history, one needs art, music and literature because that represents truth; the heart of a society, a generation, a culture. That understanding, offers a true sense of the meaning of history which is fundamental to the grown of humanity. Art, music and literature are not erudite. They are oxygen and it is incumbent upon us to educate.”

TWO TWO, the City of Las Vegas, partners in Art Without Boundaries.

A virtual spectacle: bringing video production to life

The houselights go down, your heart is racing, you’ve got goosebumps, everyone in earshot is screaming, and the performance is about to start... The difference, however, is that you’re not in a venue, you’re actually in the comfort of your own home.

As we all know, the coronavirus pandemic has caused all live performances to come to a complete standstill in the first half of the year. Because of this, live video has come to the forefront within many industries, whether that be for live events or university lectures. This sets the question; how can you achieve an experience that is just as immersive as attending a concert or lecture, for example, in person? Extended reality may be the answer.

Extended reality (XR) is an umbrella term in live production that combines augmented (AR), virtual (VR) and mixed reality (MR) elements to extend the reality we experience by blending the virtual and 'real' worlds. According to Visual Capitalist, XR is expected to grow to a market size of more than $209bn (£160bn) by 2022 and is already being used across many industries such as corporate events, education, broadcast, live music, and e-sports, allowing brands, artists and organisations alike to connect with their audiences remotely.

The technology, however, is thought to take virtual productions to the next level. Indeed, the company ‘disguise’ has developed an extended reality (xR) platform that allows both creatives and technical people to imagine, create, and deliver spectacular live visual experiences. “It is a hardware and software solution that allows us to map video onto all sorts of creative surfaces and respond to the environment in various ways,” says Peter Kirkup, global technical solutions manager at disguise.

So how does it work? xR’s virtual set extension places presenters in environments larger than the spaces available, creating more compelling content to increase audience engagement. This complete immersion allows for interaction with computer graphic (CG) elements, real lighting, and support for reflective and refractive props. The virtual environment combines camera tracking and real-time content not only visible on the screen but live on set and on camera. This process gives directors and designers more control, and faster calibration workflows.

How disguise's xR technology works

Its creators say the xR workflow can also quickly and accurately align the virtual worlds, bringing together the content system, camera tracking system, and the LED screen, with pixel-accurate precision. This method, known as spatial calibration, takes place on set and can be done in under 30 minutes. “The system allows us to put structure light patterns onto the LED screen, and then perceive those through the camera,” Kirkup explains. “This system also helps us understand where the camera is in reality against what the tracking system is telling us, and calibrate the relationship between the two.”

As part of the xR workflow, disguise handles the blending of real and virtual worlds due to the colour calibration process embedded into the system. This enables the different 'worlds' to appear as one seamless environment. The system is also render-engine agnostic, which allows creatives to select their preferred content engine, such as game engines Notch, Unreal and Unity, in order to deliver high-quality visuals for their productions. Furthermore, disguise allows users to synchronise multiple render engines from a single timeline. It also has latency compensation built into the workflow to ensure minimal latencies to deliver such experiences.

According to the company, artists are one of many groups who can use xR to perform live, using content engines to create and render limitless possibilities for the video narrative in real-time. This transports the viewers to a world beyond the physical LED walls – an experience that has recently been attained by American singer Katy Perry. Here, tech company XR Studios leveraged disguise’s technology to bring what they described as the “future of broadcast” to primetime American TV, where the Grammy nominee performed her latest single ‘Daisies’ on the season finale of American Idol.

“The seamless extension of the real-world LED screens to the virtual world environments could only be done by disguise’s xR camera registration workflow, allowing switching between camera perspectives and the LED content. Multi-Camera switching between perspectives also allowed us to switch cameras, and the LED content,” explains Scott Millar, a disguise xR workflow specialist who provided creative technology support on the project. Using disguise xR spatial mapping, the teams working on the project were able to accurately keyframe the position of real and virtual worlds into one coherent place where choreographed action could take place.

Here is an annotation of the xR set up and components demonstrated during Katy Perry's American Idol performance. It's important to note that the AR elements and set extension aren't there in real life.

Katy Perry has not been the only world-renowned artist to perform virtually using this platform. The technology enabled partner XR Studios to create an environment for the Black Eyed Peas to promote their new album across primetime TV shows across the world. The Grammy award-winning hip-hop group recorded performances of four new songs, from their eighth studio album ‘Translation’, with XR Studios. These were then distributed in ‘promotion packages’ to a handful of primetime shows across the world, including Good Morning America and across Europe.

The platform allowed in-house teams to design and recreate environments, as well as bring in an artist who was unable to make the shoot. In the performance of new single ‘Ritmo (Bad Boys For Life)’, the song credits a guest feature with Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin who could not be present in person. To overcome this, disguise xR allowed Silent Partners Studios, who designed the content for the videos, to create a 3D digital version of the singer within the content and virtually perform his verse amongst the original designs of the songs music video.

“Will.i.am and the band have always pushed the boundaries of technology as it crosses over into music production, promotion and consumption, so a disguise xR workflow for their performances really was a perfect fit for them as a group,” explains JT Rooney of Silent Partners, who was closely involved in the creation of the content with Will.i.am and the band’s management. The band also performed one of their most well-known songs, ‘Where Is The Love?’ as part of the promotion package. Beginning on a round platform, with standout AR elements of the red question mark logo, as seen in the original music video for the song, floating above the band, the scenery around them slowly evolves. The background displayed the names of recent police brutality victims – a poignant statement in light of recent global events.

Other performances by the band saw the xR platform ‘extending the set’, with two dancers on set reacting to the virtual dancers in the scene behind them. The teams also decided to use mirrors in the performance. And combining the mirrors with the LED walls in the virtual space allowed for natural reflections of content across the LED – a technique in which the green screen faults. “Green screen technology is a very isolating and difficult environment for presenters and artists to work in,” Kirkup agrees. “You don’t have a genuine reaction to the environment around you as all you can see is green. But with this extended reality workflow, we overcome that.”

Prior to the pandemic, the xR technology was first used in a broadcast that brought on a visual spectacle for viewers watching the HP OMEN Challenge e-sports tournament in September 2019. Here, the disguise gx 2c and gx 1 media servers were used alongside the xR workflow to power the real-time generative Notch content that accompanied the gameplay. The company’s media servers also help power audio-visual company White Light’s ‘SmartStage’ system, which has been used to create an immersive virtual classroom solution for an online Masters in Business Administration programme at Michigan University in the US.

The company believes xR technology will change the face of delivery in broadcast, “proving to be a vital lifeline in taking virtual productions to the next level”. Tom Rockhill, chief sales executive at disguise says: “xR enables creative and technical professionals to tell stories in new and innovative ways for the world’s leading brands and artists and produces opportunities for collaboration, combining teams, and technologies to drive a single creative vision.”
