Square Enix will be giving a 50 minute presentation at this year’s all-virtual Tokyo Game Show.

Square Enix has confirmed that it will be holding a presentation at the Tokyo Game Show 2021, giving some more details on some of their upcoming titles and future plans.

The company has quite a few well-loved franchises under their belt that we could see some updates for, such as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Hitman, and the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker expansion. Of course the biggest game that fans are hoping to hear about is Final Fantasy XVI.

Fans haven’t seen too much of the game since the PS5 console reveal, so a few more details would definitely be welcomed. From what we know so far, Final Fantasy XVI is being developed by the team MMO Final Fantasy XIV, which is why fans may have noticed that the character designs look a bit different to the other recent entries in the main series.

It’s worth pointing out, though, that there’s a good chance that the game might not be featured in the show at all. As part of a recent stream, Producer Naoki Yoshida stated that they were still working to development deadlines, meaning that Final Fantasy XVI wasn’t quite ready for the virtual show floor.

The Square Enix Presents livestream will take place on Oct. 1, and will last for roughly 50 minutes. Other confirmed presentations will be seen from Microsoft, Konami, Capcom, and Bandai Namco.
