The U.S. Air Force (USAF) has chosen SIMBA Chain, a leading provider of enterprise blockchain solutions, for a $30 million STRATFI, continuing a string of recent projects the company has completed for the USAF.

The USAF STRATFI is concentrated on locating and developing technologies that may ensure its continued dominance. The development and implementation of blockchain applications in supply chain management will be the primary focus of the $30M investment, which represents a significant budget increase compared to earlier blockchain initiatives. These programs are intended for use by the Defense Logistics Agency, the USAF, the U.S. Navy, and the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research & Engineering.

Stacy Betlej-Amodeo, Vice President of Government Operations at SIMBA Chain, elaborates, “Our new project for the USAF will pave the way to more efficient and comprehensive management of assets within the Department of Defense supply chain. SIMBA is thrilled to build upon our existing partnership with the DoD to scale blockchain technology across the enterprise.”

In the past, SIMBA Chain has created a number of blockchain applications to enhance crucial USAF operations, such as the tokenization of the company’s budget to improve accounting and the tracking of essential parts for the air service branch. The SIMBA Blocks platform’s development will be greatly accelerated by the STRATFI, which will also provide in-transit visibility that supports the USAF’s strategic mission.

Bryan Ritchie, CEO of SIMBA Chain said: “Through STRATFI our Government partners are sending a strong demand signal for blockchain technology. Given the interconnectedness of the DoD supply chain, it also signals an opportunity to collaborate and increase adoption within the commercial industry.”

Regarding SIMBA Chain

Government organizations use SIMBA Chain, also known as Simple Blockchain Applications, which was developed at the University of Notre Dame in 2017 as a fully integrated development platform to connect to Web3. The heart of this offering is SIMBA Blocks, which makes Web3 available to everyone by abstracting the difficulties of blockchain development.

When implementing blockchain-based solutions, governments face specific challenges that SIMBA Blocks is a fully integrated platform that addresses. Government data systems are protected by SIMBA’s exceptional network performance and strong security features, which include military supply chains, resilient information sharing, and quick decision-making.

The reliable platform provides a low-configuration setting with automatically generated REST APIs that can connect to smart contracts on various blockchain protocols. Governments can optimize their blockchain applications and protect Web3 investments by having the option to switch between public, private, and hybrid chains. Most importantly, SIMBA Blocks ensures that blockchain-based applications seamlessly interact with legacy systems across public and private domains as a government-tested platform.
