Shyvana VGU Announced, Finally

Date:

One of the most important aspects of keeping League of Legends relevant is updating all of the older parts of the game. This includes items, the map and yes, champions. With the Skarner VGU finally hitting the Rift, many wondered who would be next. During their Season 14 announcement video, it was confirmed that Shyvana would finally be getting her long-overdue VGU.

Shyvana VGU: What is Known So Far

As of right now, not much is known about the Shyvana VGU. Check out her potential design below.

They have said that Shyvana will not be coming out until sometime in 2025. Also, her update will be more akin to Udyr than Skarner. This means that she will be keeping most of her core gameplay and lore instead of getting completely redone. It is likely the reason why her VGU will only take about a year since it was announced to be released.

Shyvana Rework: Everything Else

Right now, it would seem as though the Shyvana rework will be coming in the middle of 2025. While this does feel very far off, it seems unlikely that she will get pushed back considering what they have said so far. Considering how long Skarner took to be released, this is a huge positive.

Also, her abilities will likely remain the same for the most part. What will be interesting is seeing if she keeps her rage mechanic and what will her ultimate look like? It is also worth wondering which of her current abilities will stay. The problem with Shyvana is she does not have a clear path to what she is in terms of ap, ad, or both. So, it feels like this will be the major question answered with the VGU.
