The community behind the popular memecoin Shiba Inu (SHIB) now has another home. Shibarium Technology has opened the official Twitter community for the upcoming Layer-2 scaling solution. While the wait for Shibarium’s mainnet continues, holders of the canine coin are sharing their thoughts, pictures and sending greetings to each other.
SHIB Army Retreats After Intense Dogfight
Despite most of the SHIB Army’s calm mood, recent weeks have been filled with conflicts and uncertainty inside the community. Several former SHIB Defense Breed members were kicked out of the original SHIB Token Discord after harassing other members. Shibarium moderators halted all activity on the Discord server to solve the issue.
On top of that, Shiba Inu Welly’s fast food chain had to deal with misplaced funds of 37 Ethereum (ETH). The funds, initially planned to be burned on Shibburn, ended up in Trophia’s hands. The controversial ex-moderator likely fled the scene, while SHIB Token’s official Discord was restored a day later.
The heated discussion between members of the SHIB Army bore fruit in the accelerated SHIB daily burn rate. According to the official SHIB burning tracker, 182 million Shiba Inu tokens were set ablaze in the last 24 hours, catapulting the SHIB burn rate by 1222.6%.
This sums up to 16 billion SHIB tokens burned since last month. Members of the SHIB Army managed to shatter the yearly record twice in one month, with Blaze Token’s 3.6B burning deed currently taking the first place.
