SubQuery Network Unveils Initial Decentralized RPCs for Polkadot and Kusama

SubQuery Network, a company specializing in Web3 infrastructure, has just launched two new RPCs tailored for the Polkadot ecosystem. These RPCs, which can be used with Polkadot and Kusama, are the first decentralized RPCs offered on networks built with Substrate.
SubQuery provides Web3 infrastructure support for close to 200 different networks. The SubQuery Network is a worldwide distributed system made up of decentralized indexers and RPC providers. This setup allows decentralized applications (dapps) to easily obtain secure and efficient blockchain data on demand, eliminating the need for central oversight. Developers who are building on Polkadot and Kusama now have access to SubQuery’s decentralized RPC nodes.
James Bayly, the COO of SubQuery, expressed his excitement about being pioneers in offering decentralized RPCs for Polkadot on the SubQuery Network. He mentioned that their node operators are already managing RPCs and other nodes across various ecosystems. Given their origins within the Polkadot ecosystem, they are in an excellent position to provide infrastructure support to Polkadot developers.
More than 30 independent Node Operators manage the Polkadot RPCs that are implemented for both the Polkadot relay chain and Kusama. These decentralized RPCs are essential for ensuring the efficient functioning of blockchain initiatives and retrieving information from different origins.
Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs) play a vital role in ensuring smooth communication between blockchain nodes and external systems. They support key operations like fetching data, interacting with smart contracts, and submitting transactions. Decentralized RPCs free decentralized applications (dapps) from relying on centralized middleware, thus mitigating related risks. The SubQuery Network offers decentralized RPCs that guarantee secure and effective web3 interactions. This capability is essential for maintaining the robust and transparent operations needed for the success of Decentralized Physical Infrastructures Networks (DePINs).
 
SubQuery originated within the Polkadot ecosystem, offering an indexer that effortlessly integrates with its unique multi-chain framework. Over time, it has broadened its scope to cover numerous networks, becoming a leading indexer of web3 data across multiple blockchain platforms.
