Bot laners rejoice, there will be another new champion coming their way. After weeks of speculation and leaks, Riot has finally revealed the next champion. While not much time has passed since the release of Bel’Veth it would seem as though Riot is making a summer rush. Riot is ready though. The Nilah League of Legends trailer has officially shown the new Bot Laner.

When looking at the Nilah trailer, fans can see a bit of what she is about. She will be a bot laner but will bring with her a very different style. She will likely be the first attack damage melee carry since technically Samira but she is also ranged. One could also argue Yasuo since he is used in the bot lane. The problem is that Yasuo was intended to be a mid laner on launch.
It would seem as though what is on her leg looks similar to what Yasuo’s armor looks like. Is it possible that she came over to Bilgewater from the same area as he did? Or is that more of a coincidence?
Either way, she gives off the Katara from Avatar The Last Airbender vibes that had been rumored. One aspect that was wrong was that she uses more of a water whip than a water sword. Again, very much like Katara from Avatar. There is no doubt that she will become a champion that fans love to play and hate to play against.
So if that is the case then her official release date would likely be with Patch 12.13 on July 13.
Hopefully, fans will enjoy her and not find too many bugs on the PBE. That would likely be the only thing that could put her release date in jeopardy.
