1. Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State Nittany Lions

Penn State’s offense struggled and the Nittany Lions lost a tough game on the road to Ohio State. Their offense couldn’t move the ball consistently, which is a good credit to the Buckeyes’ defense. The offensive line, including Fashanu, had their hands full against a good Ohio State defensive line. Fashanu did not play his best game.

Despite not having his best performance, Fashanu is still a highly-coveted offensive tackle. He should still be a top 10 pick, but more debates over him and Joe Alt being the top tackle in the class will happen. Fashanu did have some nice moments in the game, but will need to play better down the stretch to solidify his stock.

2. J.T. Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State’s defense came to the rescue against Penn State. Although Ohio State has been known for their offense over the last few seasons, the defense played a great game, allowing just 12 points. Their defensive line was able to help them win up front. J.T. Tuimoloau had a fantastic game for the Buckeyes, finishing with one tackle, one tackle for loss and a sack.

His impact is not even fully seen in the box score. Tuimoloau constantly pressured Penn State quarterback Drew Allar, especially with his bull rush. He has shown more advanced pass-rush moves as well this season. While he was already likely going to be a first-round pick, such a good performance against Fashanu only helps his stock and moves him up a lot of draft boards.

3. J.C. Latham, OT, Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama was able to get a comeback win over Tennessee to keep their College Football Playoff chances alive. They continued to play inconsistently up front, as they couldn’t protect Jalen Milroe or generate much running room at 3.3 yards per carry. Latham is still a bright spot on the offensive line and played decently.

Latham has had a good season despite the offensive line struggles. He has shown good raw power that helps him anchor in pass protection and clear running lanes. Latham is still projected to be a first-round pick and could go anywhere from the middle or late in the round.

Oregon got back on the winning side of things in week 8 after they defeated Washington State. Their offense was operating well, as they moved the ball on the ground and through the air. While it wasn’t his most productive game, wide receiver Troy Franklin played well. He finished the game with four catches for 79 yards.

Franklin has played well, which is critically important for his draft stock, as it is a loaded wide receiver class. He has excelled at using his size to win matchups and make contested catches. He will need to continue playing well to hold his stock, but Franklin should be a day two pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

5. Graham Barton, OT, Duke Blue Devils

Duke lost a tough game on the road to Florida State. They were winning, but then starting quarterback Riley Leonard left the game and things worsened. Their offensive line played solidly, including left tackle Graham Barton. Barton specifically had some nice reps against Jared Verse, who is a coveted draft prospect.

Barton is in play to be the third tackle selected in the 2024 NFL Draft. He showed some good run blocking in this game, but also the offensive line didn’t give up a sack. Barton did have a hold, which is not a usual thing for him. Overall, playing well against Verse is good for his stock.
