Earlier this week the Sports Industry Awards (SPIA) took place in Dubai and on the shortlist was “Move To Game” in the Best Esports Campaign category. Cheesecake Digital was involved as part of the team who created the concept for the Sports For All Federation in Saudi Arabia alongside SAFEIS and Vanguard. The campaign encouraged people during lockdown to undertake exercise and step counts with a goal to reach a community target of 1 Billion Steps. Participants who completed the daily step target of 5000 steps were then eligible to enter gaming competitions and giveaways.
The initial campaign lasted for several months and saw over 100,000 participants in KSA with over 2 Billion steps reached by the community.
In the SPIA awards ceremony Move To Game won the Gold Award in the “Best Esports Campaign” category for 2021. Since the original campaign in 2020 Move To Game has continued and expanded to become a part of Sport For All’s engagement strategy so we’re delighted and proud to see the campaign recognised by SPIA.
