Lakers Enter All-Star Break on 3-Game Win Streak

Date:

The Lakers jump up to 30-26 after their 138-122 blowout win against the Jazz Wednesday night. An even bigger story would be Rui Hachimura scoring a career high 36 points.

The purple and gold seem to be firing on all cylinders going into the All-Star break due to the continuity that is growing throughout the team. Starting off February 6-1 is not only due to the emergence of Hachimura, but it is that everybody seems to be fitting into their role.

Hachimura emphasized how the current lineup is key to getting the Lakers back to their winning ways. “We’ve got to keep building chemistry for the playoffs,” he said after the win and continued to preach how getting comfortable will push the team to another level.

Anthony Davis also finished with an outstanding 35 points and 15 rebounds. When Davis is collecting double-doubles and the role players are shining, this team is a force to be reckoned with. Lebron James is just the cherry on top of a stacked Laker lineup.

The recent addition of Spencer Dinwiddie has been a seamless fit and will only give the Lakers much needed energy on the defensive end. There is the consensus among Laker’s players that they have found their groove before heading into the all-star break.

The main key they highlight is how they have been sharing the ball during the 6-1 stretch. D’Angelo Russell also had a career high after Wednesday night’s win collecting a whopping 17 assists. Sharing the basketball will only inspire success for the Lakers for the rest of the season.

They look to continue the trend when they travel to San Fransisco to take on the Warriors on February 22.
