Intertrader Taps Citigroup Veterans

Date:

The institutional division of Intertrader,
Olivetree, has appointed Citigroup veterans to join its team. David Lackenby
takes the role of the Head of Event-Driven Sales Trading, while Mark Brodie steps
in as an Event-Driven Sales Trader.

Both veterans bring a wealth of experience to their
roles, with Lackenby boasting an extensive background spanning roles in Cantor
Fitzgerald and Market Securities. Mark, drawing from his tenure at Bear Sterns,
Jefferies, and BTIG, augments his expertise in event-driven dynamics.

Olivetree specializes in event-driven investments, a
domain that provides market insights. In an email sent to Finance Magnates,
Intertrader expects to enhance its insights and event-driven investment
strategies with the new hires.

Lackenby and Brodie began their effective roles on
November 13th, 2023. The company said it aims to generate innovative ideas that
transcend traditional practices to benefit its stakeholders with the seasoned professionals.

In March, Intertrader appointed Joe Rundle as the Chief Executive Officer. Rundle, an industry expert with over a decade’s
worth of FX experience, stepped into this role after a successful stint as
Chief of Staff at Capital.com. The spread betting and CFDs firm tapped
Rundle’s expertise to steer the company beyond its traditional offerings.

Recent Changes in Intertrader’s Leadership

The appointment of Joe Rundle as CEO marked a
notable transition for Intertrader. Rundle’s tenure within the FX
industry, spanning over two decades and encompassing roles in reputed brands
like ThinkMarkets and OvalX, positioned him as a seasoned strategist to take over his role at Intertrader.

In January, Intertrader elevated Louisa Plaice to the position of Head of Public Affairs, expanding her portfolio beyond her
prior role as Head of Marketing. Plaice stepped into her role with over 15
years of marketing expertise.

Plaice began her journey at Jane Norman, a UK-based
women’s clothing retailer, where she gained experience in marketing before
transitioning into the financial sector. She served in different capacities at
Equifax Gap Inc., among other firms, before joining Intertrader.
