Date:

IDEMIA Secure Transactions has launched the GREENPAY Wallet, a fresh digital tool designed to enhance eco-friendly practices in the financial industry. This unveiling is timely, occurring just ahead of World Environment Day on June 5, 2024.

The GREENPAY Wallet is a significant advancement in IDEMIA Secure Transactions’ extensive plan for corporate social responsibility.

It enables banks and their clients to support worldwide environmental restoration and community initiatives.

The solution includes a software element that allows users to donate to NGO initiatives via their mobile banking applications. Additionally, it offers a digital platform for financial institutions to choose and track projects that make a significant impact.

This project expands upon IDEMIA’s GREENPAY program that began in 2020, originally concentrating on eco-friendly banking cards crafted from recycled PVC.

IDEMIA stated that it guarantees every initiative under the GREENPAY Wallet is in accordance with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and adheres to strict criteria for dependability and effectiveness.

The initiatives are chosen with care and are continuously overseen through periodic updates.
