The Houston Texans have acquired guard Shaq Mason in a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Houston will receive a Mason and a seventh-rounder and will send a sixth-rounder to the Buccaneers. NFL Network reported the news.
Mason, 29, is a two-time Super Bowl champion who has played for the Patriots and Buccaneers over his eight-year NFL career. He played just one season for the Bucs.
Houston has made a real effort during the free agency period to improve their roster, as they have added Jimmie Ward, Chase Winovich and others.
