Houston Outlaws Release Doge, Lep and Creative

Date:

The offseason is in full swing and teams are starting to make their moves for the future. On Thursday November 10, the Houston Outlaws made their first major announcement. The Outlaws announced the release of Tomas “Doge” Kongsøre, Joseph “Lep” Cambriani and Young-wan “Creative” Kim. The three players were the last to join the Outlaws in 2022, but they are the first to depart from the third place team.

Doge and Lep joined the Outlaws mid-way through the season, as the organization hoped that the Contenders standouts would bring a spark to the roster. Lep was added to play main support for the team as they failed to sign a dedicated Lucio player prior to 2022. While Jung-won “Lastro” Mun had experience playing Lucio it appeared as though Houston wanted to have a bit more depth on the roster.

Doge joined at the same time as Lep as the meta began to shift towards a main-tank focused environment. Although Houston had two tanks in Dante “Danteh” Cruz and Min-jun “Piggy” Shin, Doge entered the fold and immediately found playtime the same week he was signed.

Creative was the last to join Houston thanks to a late season trade with the Seoul Dynasty. While on the Dynasty Creative helped the team win the Kickoff Clash. Creative remained a standout for Houston, and now looks to help a new roster as he heads to free agency.
