The controversial and odd McAfee was subject to critique after it was found that chunks of their white paper were “copy-pasted” from PIVIX’s, an open-source protocol, white paper. McAfee confirmed that there was the involvement of plagiarism but still said they will sue PIVX for defamation. PIVX also has plans to launch a zk-SNARKS-based privacy protocol from Zcash in the last quarter of 2020.

John McAfee’s Ghost Distributed exchange went life, according to the cryptocurrency advocate announced on Twitter over the weekend. The ghost distributed exchange is related to the privacy Ghost project which is a Proof of Stake privacy coin intended for more anonymous transactions. He clarified on his social media profiles that Ghost will replace the McAfeeDEX distributed exchange while the Ghost main net is expected to go live on June 22.

Ghost was seen as a controversial project especially after McAfee himself said that the platform “copy-pasted” parts of its white paper from PIVX. He also seemed poised to sue PIVX which is an open-sourced protocol, for defamation. PIVX is planning to use a ZK-Snarks-based privacy protocol which is created by the privacy coin Zcash and it will launch in the Q4 of this year. McAfee tweeted:

“PIVX is attempting to claim that their source code is Public Domain, but that the description of how it all works (The White Paper) is not. Claiming a procuct is open source while witholding the documention is fraud. Pure and simple. I will soon demonstrate that in the courts.”
