FC 25 Advertisement Speculations Raise Worries
Date:
With each passing day, FC 25 is drawing nearer, prompting players to start looking forward to the upcoming installment of EA Sports FC. The next game promises a wealth of fresh content, such as new promotional events, emerging young talents, and possibly some innovative features.
Nevertheless, a particular set of rumors has stirred up some worry among FC 24 players. Speculation about EA adding advertisements to the upcoming game has led to some unease.
Advertisements in FC 25 Might Spoil the Experience
Over the years, dedicated FIFA or EA FC enthusiasts have gradually begun to lose their passion for a game that, for many, was a significant part of their childhood.
Older games had a lot more excitement, whether it was hurrying home to open new packs, seeing the newest Team of the Week, or following the stories of Alex Hunter or Danny Williams in the Journey. Even though we've faced many challenges throughout the years, we still play our beloved football/soccer game.

With Ultimate Team now being EA’s main moneymaker, several aspects of the game have changed, diminishing our affection for it. Adding advertisements to FC 25 could potentially be a step too far. While these are just speculations and might not be true, many are hoping they aren't. Integrating ads into a game that already generates substantial revenue from FC Points would be a grave error on EA’s part. Picture yourself finishing a grueling match in Weekend League, losing at the last minute, and then being forced to watch a 30-second ad for a product you don't care about. This would only add to the frustration for many players. Furthermore, players might start losing interest in playing any mode if they know they'll be bombarded with ads after every match. Although advertisements have been a part of the game since FIFA 98, appearing on billboards and pitch sides, they go unnoticed during gameplay, much like in real-life stadiums. However, if players are required to sit through an ad while playing the game, it would be a significant problem.

Picture this: you finish a grueling Weekend League match, lose in the final moments, and are then forced to sit through a 30-second commercial for a product you don't care about. This would only heighten the frustration for many players. Moreover, the presence of ads after every match could discourage players from engaging in any game mode. Picture this: you’ve just wrapped up a grueling Weekend League match, only to lose right at the end, and then you’re forced to watch a 30-second commercial for a company you couldn’t care less about. It would only heighten the annoyance for a lot of players.
Moreover, if players anticipate being bombarded with advertisements after every game, they might start to lose enthusiasm for participating in any game mode.
Since FIFA 98, advertisements have appeared on billboards and around the pitch, but players tend not to notice them during a match, similar to how spectators overlook them in real stadiums. However, if players had to watch an ad while playing, it would be problematic.
Electronic Arts (EA) must carefully select which advertisements to display within the game, making sure they are suitable for all ages. This is particularly important because FC 24, like all earlier FIFA games, has a PEGI 3 rating.
Both EA and fans have a lot to think about regarding the inclusion of advertisements in FC 25. However, it's clear that these speculations have sparked considerable dissatisfaction.
Fortunately, several new football games are on the horizon, including UFL, Copa City, and possibly FIFA 2K. These titles are poised to challenge EA and provide football gaming enthusiasts with a wider array of options!
