The game titles that will be featured in the 2022 World Esports Championships as been revealed by IESF – The International Esports Federation. Some of the games were of course expected, and some might come as an exciting surprise.
Two new mobile games in the championship
IESF is expecting no less than 120 nations to participate in the World Esports Championships. The finals of the event, hosted on the Indonesian island, Bali, starts on 27 November and will finish on 9 December.
Apart from the games CS:GO, Tekken 7, Dota 2 and eFootball, the big news for the annual championship is of course the two mobile titles, PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, that is included in the event for the first time. According to IESF, this reflects the growth of the mobile gaming industry, which they believe is mainly because of a big number of gamers without the resources or means to play on consoles.
“The inclusion of these spectacular six-game titles in the 2022 WE Championships supports our mission to unite, support and promote the World Esports Family. We are very grateful for the continued collaboration with publishers, the inclusion of two new mobile titles and to feature the first CS:GO female tournament this year. Together, we are working towards a more accessible and inclusive Esports community.” – Says IESF General Secretary Boban Totovski
Registration will open for National Federations on 20 February on IESF’s new platform. The qualification process will include PC, mobile and console games.

Founded by nine nations in 2008, The International Esports Federation – IESF, is the unifying body for World Esports, which is composed of over 111 National member federations across the globe. The IESF Esports World Championship is the biggest multi-sport event of esports in the world.
