FURIA have announced the signing of Marcos “tacitus” Castilho as the team’s assistant coach, tasking the 21-year-old with aiding head coach guerri in the tactical department.
Before his move to FURIA, the Brazilian coach had previously worked for a year in Triumph, starting as an analyst and moving up to the head coach position, a post he resigned in April.
During his time with the North American squad he coached the team through several ESEA Premier seasons, an ESL Pro League, and at tournaments such as ESL One Cologne North America or the team’s second-place finish at IEM Beijing-Haidian 2020 North America.

tacitus now joins his countrymen in the top-ranked Brazilian squad, FURIA, who currently sit in seventh place in the standings as they try to hit their stride with AWPer Paytyn “junior” Johnson — who played under tacitus in Triumph — and seek to reenter the top five positions in the world.
“My role at FURIA is going to be to work beside Guerri, the current head coach, as I’m going to be his assistant,” tacitus said in his presentation video. “In general, I’ll try to aggregate the most that I can and improve the tactical standard of the team.
“Being in FURIA means everything to me. It’s currently the best Brazilian CS team and one of the biggest organizations, so being able to represent a mantle with such weight is a big dream and I’ll give my best at every moment. “
