Want to dive into the digital metaverse and create a whole new life? Well there are plenty of ways to do that in virtual reality (VR). Social platforms like Sansar and Somnium Space already exist whilst Facebook Horizon is, well, on the horizon. Another awaiting its official launch is Sensorium Galaxy, due to arrive Q1 2021.
Development began in 2018, with the first details debuting at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2019. Sensorium Corporation is creating the platform with help from RedPill VR, where users can create their own avatars and enjoy social events like club nights.
Ahead of next year’s launch Sensorium is encouraging interested VR users to register early which unlocks a number of perks in the process. They’ll gain access to two free avatars, take part in monthly giveaways as well as being able to test the Sensorium Starship demo. Further perks will unlock when the official release takes place.
Discussing the development, Sensorium founder Mikhail Prokhorov said in a statement: “The combination of VR and AI creates unique opportunities for developing new platforms where users can seamlessly interact with the virtual environments and amongst themselves. We are confident that the development of a new way of communication in the virtual world, along with the limitless possibilities for self-realization in those digital environments, present an unprecedented business opportunity. Over the next 10 years, we’re expecting explosive market growth around the integration of VR and AI technologies.”

Sensorium Corporation has big plans for Sensorium Galaxy. Working with Yann Pissenem, creator of nightlife hubs Ushuaïa Ibiza and Hï Ibiza, they’re creating digital versions of leading DJs and other artists to prepare shows and more.
