Pioneering restaurant, Devour is partnering with Alterverse, a leading gaming company, to bring the world’s first food-ordering marketplace to the metaverse. The partnership seeks to combine web3 gaming and food selling by integrating Devour’s web3-enabled guest engagement platform DevourGO in the upcoming AlterVerse’s Sky City gaming Metaverse.
Although DevourGO has already made a name in token-gating food ordering, this new partnership will enable it to offer real-world food delivery orders from storefronts within AlterVerse’s Sky City. Already, DevourGO users can use their digital assets and the native token, DevourPAY ($DPAY), for payment and enjoy exclusive rewards.
Commenting on the partnership, Devour CEO Shelly Rupel said customers and restaurant brands will now enjoy immersive restaurant experiences on a new level with the integration.

Eventually, players will not only be able to get real-world food, but their avatars will gain valuable increases in their hunger and thirst meters. This will enable them to make progress in the game. Also, because the game is global, users can play from anywhere and order food and beverages from participating restaurants within their localities.
With Sky City built on Unreal Engine 5, Alterverse lets users play unlimited games and challenges. They can also design their homes, engage in high-stakes competition, and shop at many restaurants and retail shops in the central hub, making it more than just a gaming metaverse.
The combination of DevourGO and Altverse will give restaurant brands the opportunity to create memorable experiences for guests and will be a major gateway into the gaming community for them.
