Cboe Global Markets is looking forward to listing a Fidelity Bitcoin ETF in the US provided the 45 days time period that the SEC will require to make an initial decision on the application. As proposed on Monday, Cboe reveals concerns about the potential manipulation of a Bitcoin exchange-traded product that has been sufficiently mitigated.

Cboe Global Markets to List Fidelity Bitcoin ETF

Gary Gensler, the new Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) told Congress last week that the cryptocurrency market could take advantage of greater investor protection.

Cboe BZX Exchange has reportedly filed a 19b-4 form and has acknowledged its support of the Bitcoin ETF application of Wise Origin and kicking the process to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Wise Origin is a fund affiliated with Fidelity, an investment giant which first filed for the Bitcoin ETF with the exchange commission in the month of March. 

However, there is a need for an exchange partner such as NYSE Aroa or Cboe for the exchange commission to file a corresponding 19b-4 form before it will start considering the application.

Bitcoin ETF Propoents Claiming to Open Up a Wider Array of Possible Investors

The federal securities of the United States and the Securities and Exchange Commission are currently considering three other Bitcoin ETF applications that are filed by WisdomTree, Krypton, and VanEck. 

All these three companies have also filed with Cboe BZX Exchange along with Valkyrie, an ETF issuer, which is working with NYSE Aroa. 

Cboe has already petitioned for the approval of vehicles such as a VanEck Bitcoin Fund, which is looking forward to a green light from the officials. 

However, the exchange commission has constantly knocked back these repeated attempts of these companies to list such products in the United States. 

Moreover, the odds for the approval of the Bitcoin exchange-traded fund grow stronger after the criticism of Gensler.
