WAKEFIELD, Mass. — March 23, 2022 — The Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) today announced Careers in Ethereum and Web3 2022: A Virtual Job Fair – a free, two-hour event presented by the EEA in conjunction with the Blockchain Education Network (BEN) on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 2 p.m. Eastern. The virtual job fair seeks to educate job seekers about open career opportunities and connect them with the hiring managers and organizations actively looking for talent. Working professionals and soon-to-be graduates can learn more and register free of charge at https://bit.ly/web3careers.

Accenture, ConsenSys, Hacken.io, IO Builders, Microsoft, Palm NFT Studio, SKALE Labs, Steel Perlot, Quantstamp, Trail of Bits and other hiring organizations will host virtual round table discussions with job seekers regarding open job postings and career opportunities. Additionally, Banco Santander, BEN, CoinFund, the Ethereum Foundation, the EEA, Gitcoin, The Graph, Messari, Skale Labs, Status.im, and other Ethereum and Web3 industry leaders will present the skills and requirements needed for Web3 and Ethereum opportunities.

“The Web3 future is here, and it is being driven by Ethereum adoption. As career opportunities skyrocket around NFTs, DeFi, gaming, and apps and services, many job seekers – from working professionals to college students to recent graduates – are looking for careers in Ethereum but want to know what skills are needed and what company to work for,” said EEA Executive Director Dan Burnett. “This job fair is an excellent opportunity to connect job seekers and hiring organizations looking to collaborate on the future of Ethereum and Web3.”

New Web3 job creation will be taking place in 2022. Consider that 56 percent of the world’s top 50 universities offer at least one course on blockchain — up from 42 percent in 2018, according to Coinbase. The ecosystem also saw a 395 percent spike in job postings with titles containing terms like “Ethereum” and “blockchain” from 2020 to 2021, according to a report from LinkedIn.

“From classrooms to careers, the Virtual Job Fair connects future-ready students, graduates and professionals with employers across a wide variety of Ethereum-based hiring organizations. Job seekers can ask questions about job projects and working environments and hear directly from leaders on how to build a coveted Web3 career in design, building, marketing, community development, economics and more,” said BEN Social Chair Chris Buren.

Virtual Table Opportunities for Hiring Organizations

Hiring organizations in the Ethereum space can sponsor a virtual table, which offers organizations the ability to post open job positions for full-time or part-time jobs that can be either entry-level or advanced. Sponsors can meet and network with job seekers at their table and set up one-to-one speed rounds to meet individually with working professionals, college students, and recent graduates.
